Welcome Beau Payne!

Beau was born Sunday, July 6th at 2:13am, weighing in at a grand 8 lbs, 14.5 oz, and 21 3/4" long! He was instantly wide awake, apparently completely in awe of finally being able to match faces to voices. He has lots of brownish-blonde hair, big kissable cheeks, eyes of a undetermined color, big hands, a very large head, and two adorable yet slightly misdirected feet. He is one of the three most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Rus is recovering well from labor with just a few backpains (attributed to his oh-so-comfy fold-out bed in our room). He is completely in love with his boy, despite the fact that Beau has already made him change at least six poopy diapers. (Way to go, Beau!)

I'm "doing good" (code for "I've been split in two, but I'm optimistic that I won't feel this way forever"). I'm loving kissing Beau's cheeks and talking to him and especially getting those newborn baby cuddles that are unlike anything else. I am completely in love.

Here are some more pics for you to enjoy...

It is possible to hold three children at once...The girl on the right is my niece, Sarah. I'm not sure why Bekah is making that face. Jacob's serious face is because he is especially possessive of Beau and didn't really like Sarah touching him. Here's Beau looking so small in his carseat. The drive home from the hospital in Rus's jeep put him right to sleep. Notice his left foot, which is much more turned than his right foot. And his cute long toes. :)The nurses who gave Beau his bath also gave him a nice mohawk. I thought it was adorable, but he didn't like me showing him off.

The never flattering but necessary post-delivery pic...Rus and Beau getting acquainted...My mom and Beau. Isn't my mother beautiful? And completely amazing.

Congratulations Keri and Russ!! Wow, number 3! I'm so excited for you guys, he is so precious! It just seemed like yesterday that we were in Flagstaff going to school. Has it really been 4 years since we graduated?

YEAH YEAH YEAH!! He is here and the most beautiful baby ever!! Oh my goodness, Keri...his hair is amazing. What did you eat the whole time you were preggo to get his locks looking so luscious? Oh, I am so excited that he is here! Long toes and everything.

I can tell Bekah and Jacob are already in love with him. At first, when I saw the pics and how big he is...I thought...she delivered a 3-month old! But the delivery pics made me think...phew, he is an infant after all!

You look amazing! I am so proud of you...and Rus!

Congratulations!!! He is beautiful. I love the hair!!!! I hope that all goes well with your upcoming appointments. I am assuming you will start those soon. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help you. May his feet turn in 5 casts not six, may he sleep through the night and about this time next year may he run with his siblings.

Good luck from someone who has been there.

Beautiful Baby! I don't think he looks like a newborn though. Congratulaions. Your mom looks just the same as always. By the way, this is Dave and Laura's mom.

CONGRATULATIONS! You have the most beautiful family! I can't believe how amazing you look after just having delivered Beau. WOW! Is it quite the adjustment having 3 instead of 2? Either way it looks and sounds like you are a pro! And I know everyone has commented on his hair but holy cow...its to die for! He is so precious, how nice to have a little slice of heaven...or 3.
