Beau's arrival seemed to push all of my garage-based endeavors way, way out of reach. So no longer will you hear the loud whirr of the table saw or the up and down rhythm of my scroll saw. I've decided to accept the fact that I'm my mother's daughter and I might actually like to sew. As long as it's super cute fabric and as long as I'm not sewing clothes. And as long as I don't have to use pins. Or be precise. Or sew a straight line. (I'm my father's daughter in the fact that I really can't sew very well.) Sew... :) Here are some fun purses I've been making to sell at a craft show in November. They're for little girls, thus the fun colors and fabrics and smaller size. I'm perfecting it every time, so as my sister Amy says, here are my latest failures...enjoy!

You are so talented at everything you do!! Those are adorable!
Those are awesome!!! I love them! I want that last one for myself :)
I would like to purchase some please!! Let me know how!
Those are cute. I keep telling myself that I'm going to sew some curtains for the kitchen (since I can't buy what I want already made). I have the fabric and everything, but that whole straight line thing does seem pretty daunting :)
Hi Keri! I just joined the blogging universe and I wanted to say hi! Congratulations on your new baby. Its fun to read about your children and your talents. These purses are awesome!
I can't wait to read your next post!
Keri you did it again and you said you can't sew whatever. Your good at anything you put your mind to.
Keri!! It's Elisa Shaver! (Well, Elisa Schaub...I got married last Dec 2007) How are ya? I just thought that I would blog stalk a little bit more before the next session of conference and I found your blog through Caryn's and had to post you a message. I'm not surprised at all that you are making cute little purses cause I remember all the creativity you had in your notes that you made in high school. I do have to say that I miss your stick figures that you would draw with letters, those were so adorable and Nikki Cech and I often talk about how we wish we could have made them like you! Your kids are so very cute, I hope you are doing well!
