Club Foot, Before and After

I've been wanting to post some before and after pictures of Beau's foot so you could see how well it has turned...
Here is how his foot looked beforeAnd here is after 7 weeks of casting... The red dot is where they cut his achilles tendon.
And here was Beau at three weeks old, before any of his casts...Here's my happy Beau now! He's now pretty used to his brace and is wearing it about 22-23 hours out of the day. I've gotten better at not automatically thinking he wants the shoes off everytime he cries. What an amazing miracle it is that feet can be fixed so easily. Seven weeks out of a lifetime isn't so bad. I feel blessed everytime I think about our experience so far, and I'm so excited for the months to come when he'll be crawling and walking and running!

That is so awesome! Modern medicine and the will of a little baby and his mommy can do amazing things! Yay for you and Beau! He's adorable, by the way. :)

My aunt Jacqueline sent me a link to your blog. I have a 4 week old with a rcf. He got his 4th cast today and his tenotomy is scheduled for next week. It's great to see the progress in your little one! It really is amazing. And he's adorable.
