Beau at Four Months!

(yes, I did cut holes in the bottom of his footie pjs so that he could still wear his brace with them.)

Yep, my Beau is four months old. Time's fun when you're havin' flies! (...as my dad always says). I am in love with my little monster. He smiles at me everytime I smile at him, he is chubby and cuddly, he thinks I'm funny, and he hasn't peed on me once. Beau has reached a couple of big milestones with this four month mark...

1. He is getting two bottom teeth which makes him super drooly and a cannibal (I swear he wants to bite off my fingers.)

2. He has a closet-roll-over move. I have found him on his tummy four times in the last week, and each time even my frazzled mommy brain remembers that he started out on his back. I don't know how he does it with his big 'ol brace, but one way or another he ends up on his tummy crying into the carpet. Actually I think the brace helps him roll over. I just can't prove it. Because I never see him do it. Because he's Houdini. Or Beaudini. Or whatever.

3. His doctor has declared his feet "beautiful" and says that he only has two more weeks of wearing his brace full time. In two weeks he'll only have to wear it during naps and nighttime. HOORAY! I was stunned when she told me that, I had no idea we were this close. I guess Santa's going to bring Beau shoes for Christmas! Real shoes!

Other little known facts about Beau are:

He loves his bumbo (his little blue seat that helps him sit up)

He loves Jacob. He will smile so big whenever his brother pays him any attention. And Jacob does pay him attention. He loves Beau and is always so sweet and gentle with him. Except when he's being a lion and roaring and that brings us to the next fact...

Beau scares easily. He does not like loud noises. When Jacob roars, Beau cries. I spend a good part of my energy trying to convince Jacob to take it down an octave and not be so scary!

I guess that's about it. I love my little man and I feel blessed to have him in my home. Now, a gift for you...here's his super happy sweet cheeks smile...Enjoy!

I just want to bite those cheeks right off! How is that for graphic? Seriously, you can tell he is just an angel. The fact that he cries at loud noises...I am sure it is just a protecting agent...making sure his family and home are not in harms way! That has got to be it.

Oh, Keri...YAY that he doesn't have to wear his brace all the time! That is amazing!! I bet he is not going to know what to do once it is off!! He may not remember later in life, but you might so tell him about the time he used to be able to flip over on his tummy and then couldn't because he didn't have his cast on!!

I guess I don't want that "really cute" train outfit back. At least you didn't trade it at a second hand store. Beau sure did look cute in it.
