That was...unexpected

The day before yesterday was full of unexpected, unanticipated things. Well, just two main things, really. I'm totally up for spontenaity, but turning on my faucet and having my water "spontaneously" trickle away to nothing doesn't really count. I instantly knew that the water company had deemed that March 25th be "Add Another Fun Thing to Keri's To-Do List" Day. I called up the water company and chewed them out for turning off my water, because while they said that I hadn't paid, my online account's bill-pay said that I had indeed paid. After being not-the-nicest person on the phone, I printed out a copy of the check that my bank had sent to them with my payment in full typed out nicely on the appropriate lines. And that was when I realized that *whoops!* somehow the address on my checks being sent out from my account was actually my old address, and *double whoops!* I had never changed the account number for my water bill from my old house to my new house. This confuses even me, so pay attention...somehow for the last seven months I have been paying my water bill with checks showing all the wrong information, and the water company has taken those checks and applied them to a somehow-still-open-old-account, but then (here's the clincher) somehow the water bill has gotten paid for this address where I am actually using water. I've decided to split the blame evenly between myself, the water company, and the bank (because I did change my address, just their system didn't make the change on my bill pay).
So that was a little stressful. And then there was unexpected thing #2: I had to get a haircut. Anyone that knows my experience with haircuts knows that this is an ominous thing, indeed. I have a knack for getting bad haircuts. But to make it worse I went to a training salon! Uggg! I'm glutton for punishment. The poor girl took two hours to cut my hair. Part of the reason for this is she kept going to her trainer to ask her how to do it right. I think I got a small glimpse of what an anxiety attack is right there. Stress, stress, unwanted, unexpected stress.
And now I just have to mention a few goofy things that Bekah's been saying that have cracked me up...
First, we were driving in Rus' jeep the other day with the windows rolled down, both of us waving our hands out in the breeze when Bekah said, "I had a booger on my finger and the wind blew it away and now it's probably stuck on someone's car and they'll have to wash it cause that's gross!"
Second, Bekah asked me if our new baby would love her, and I said of course, and then she said "Can I hold him when he's born? And when he gets stinky I'll give him back." (Smart kid.)
Third, Bekah is really good at letting me do her hair, but everytime we have a conversation like this:
Me: "Bekah, don't wiggle!"
Bekah: "But can I wiggle my toes?"
Me: "Sure"
Bekah: "What about my fingers? Can I wiggle those?"
Me: "Grrr..."
Bekah: "Can I wiggle my eyes?"
And on and on...Fun, fun.

Well, I hope your day is wonderful and full of pleasant expected and unexpected things...

Okay, so when you said your water gradually trickled away to nothing, I immediately thought it was your "pregnancy water"! Whew! Good thing I read on and realized that I'm an idiot. I'm sorry you had such a crazy day!!

It's okay, Suzi...when I read back over it myself I thought, hmmm, that sounds funny, maybe I should change that. But I didn't. So it's not just you. :)

Sorry about your crazy day of having your water turned off and then going to a training school to get your hair done. I had that done while in college (thankfully I was married by this time) and my hair was completely butchered. It looked like a mullet. Never going back. Never.

Bekah is hilarious! She reminds me so much of Courtney. I just love the things that come out of these kids mouths. They're so fun!

Oh, I also thought that when you said your "water trickled" that you were talking about your pregnancy. I was like, "OH NO!" and then realized that you meant the water in your house.

it looks like I'm not the only one who thought your water had broke...that's pretty funny. But yes that is a mystery to me how all of that happened! sometimes when it comes to stuff like that...I really hate being a grown-up.

Hey Keri,
Glad you found my site. The Green drink is amazing. Click on the Green for Life link in that post, and you will learn a lot more.

As for iron, the one thing I recommend to my clients a liquid iron suppliment, Floradix;
http://www.google.com/products?client=safari&rls=en-us&q=floradix&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&um=1
Liquid chlorophyll is another one, but Floradix is a little stronger.
I would double the dose the it says on the bottle, it should not cause constipation like RX iron pills.

Of course your increased foods high in iron are also good. http://www.breastflap.com/iron_foods.htm
Black strap molasses is also high in iron. I recommend 2 T a day.
Get on Floradix ASAP!
Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck!

Wow...you really need to pay attention to those "little details" when posting. IE. saying your WATER TRICKLED when you are PREGNANT!!! Good way to make all of us skip a heart beat worrying about you! Crazy girl!
I am so glad that it was your house water and not your "belly water"...I was worried! Hey- I'll be out there in May...I definitely want to get together and let the girls play again. I can't wait to see that belly!
