Ultrasound Pics and Easter Bunnies

Here are some pictures of my latest ultrasound pictures. The ultrasound tech was wonderful... she tried really hard to get some good views of his feet in 3D so that we could really visualize and understand what was going on. Isn't the 3D awesome?! It's amazing how much you can see, unlike a regular ultrasound pic where you have to guess what is what. I had to ask them if maybe he was just squished in my belly and his feet were pressed into a funny angle, but they explained that actually right now there is a lot of room in there for him to move around, so that's just the way his feet are. They also said that normally when you do an ultrasound the footprint is very easy to see...BAM, there's a foot. So when they did my first ultrasound and couldn't find that footprint, that was the telltale sign that something was wrong with his feet.

And I also had to include pics of these amazing bunnies and chicks! My friend got a new bandsaw and we (her and another friend and I) celebrated by making these. If they look at all familiar it's because they were in the latest Pottery Barn catalog, priced about $40.00 too much for anyone to spend on them. My friend copied the idea from the picture, and lucky for me I got to tag along and make some too. I thought they turned out great, so fun and festive!

Hi, I'm Laura Jacobsen and I linked to your blog through Katie Weber's. I was noticing your 3-D ultrasound pictures and thought, 'wow, those feet look like mine when I was born!' I was born with congenital club foot as was one of my brothers (there are six kids in my family - I'm the oldest). Have they told you anything about his feet or why they look like that. Anyway, it made me curious to know what if anything they have told you about his feet. I'm sure with the technology of today, his feet will be near perfect. I had six surgeries on my feet (i was born in 1972...I'm old). If you'd like to talk, email me and we can chat! I'm currently 36 wks. pregnant with our 3rd child. Our first, 5 1/2 yrs. old has autism.

3-D pictures are really neat! We never did that with Paige. I work on a neurosurgery/plastic surgery at a childrens hospital. We see club feet alot. I am sure you were sad when you saw the pictures on the ulrtasound. But they can really do awazing things now days. Technology is awazing.

Keri, you're so darn milti-talented! I saw those bunnies in the PB catalog. Yours are better! The 3D ultrasound pics are amazing, and you are an amazing mother, which is why you were blessed with this little boy!

Man I wish I got an ultrasound like yours! You can see everything so clearly!

And dang, I LOVE the wooden easter bunnies and chicks! Totally crafty! Pottery barn is really overpriced--but so cute. I'm glad that you were able to copy for so much less.
