She was concerned about gushing blood.
I found it incredibly amusing.
At first she scorned any hard foods, saying that it hurt her teeth.
I told her that crunchy foods would help her tooth get looser.
She begged for apples and carrots, broccoli and chicken. She wiggled that tooth constantly, with her tongue and her fingers. She begged Uncle Doug to take it out (it wasn't ready, though), and then cried later when her dad suggested she attach it to a rocket and then launch it out.
Then Thursday morning came and her tooth was super dooper loose. I had visions of her losing it (really losing it) at school, and as usual necessity was the mother of invention. Well, not really invention, I'm sure it's been done before...but I was inspired to wrap some floss around her tooth and give it a tug...Out it came, easy as microwave popcorn.
Rus googled it. It turns out that a recent survey shows the Tooth Fairy leaves, on average, $2.13 per tooth. Really. I remember getting quarters, not dollars. And as it turns out, inflation has affected the tooth market, increasing the value thirteen cents from just last year.
Then there was the input from Bekah's schoolmates. Her friend informed her that she received $2 for her bottom teeth, but $3 for her top teeth.
We have a different Tooth Fairy, pretty sure.
The next morning after a long and restless night of sleep, Bekah found $2 in a small felt pouch by her bed. She had left a note for the Tooth Fairy:
"Are you a girl or a boy? Boy___, Girl____"
She was delighted to find that her fairy was a girl. A very generous girl, if you ask me.
She asked me if her smile looked different...I told her it had a hole in it.
One down, ??teeth to go.

Our Tooth Fairy is cheap. $1 for any tooth, but he usually folds the dollar into a different shape every time. :0) Hopefully he doesn't run out of shapes!
Two bucks, huh? Yeah things have definitely gone up since my teeth came out. Pretty sure it was a quarter back then! Funny story. "Easy as microwave popcorn." Love it.
