Marianne at One Month

The Bug has survived her first month. It has been a wonderful month and I confess that I am addicted to her soft skin, warm cuddles, sweet spirit, and gurgly baby noises. I must also confess that nursing has once again been no picnic, being sleep deprived is hard, and I have found that there is a really fine line between my kids loving Marianne and inadvertently torturing her. (More so Beau that anyone else. He really loves Marianne.)
Marianne is such a different baby than Beau was, weight-wise. She is small, petite, and doesn't even weigh yet what Beau did when he was born. She is about 8 lbs, 5 oz. (Beau was 8lbs15oz). She has gained about one pound from her lowest weight and so she is on the smaller, but still healthy side of the scale. I think Bekah was like that, though, and then she chunked up a ton by two months...so we'll see if that's Marianne's plan, too.
Some things about Marianne:
She makes wonderful faces.
She poops a ton and it sounds like a faucet being turned on.
She loves being talked to, especially by the kids.
She would suck on anything all day long if you let her.
Being left in a dirty diaper offends her.
Baths and lotion are not relaxing to her.
Her smiles are adorable, but are not yet camera ready.
She has awesome hair...but her head is not quite big enough for all of the baby headbands and bows.
She loves to be snuggled close...mmm one of my favorite things.

And we got BOOED the other day and made these treats to pass along. I got this candy skeleton mold (Wilton) at Joanns and I'm completely in love with it. So, so fun!

That is a happy life! Hang in there with the newborn stuff. I wish you could get more sleep, but I guess that happens when they go to college, right?
